The "Thanks-tini" from How I Met Your Mother

The "Thanks-tini" is the brainchild of Barney Stinson, and it's not great. Can we make a version that he would describe as legend...wait for it...dary?

EQUIPMENT

  1. Cocktail set (includes Boston shaker, jigger, bar spoon, hawthorne strainer, fine mesh strainer, julep strainer, muddler, cocktail picks)

  2. Martini glasses

  3. Rocks glasses

  4. Angled measuring jigger

  5. Lewis bag

Original "Thanks-tini"

  • 2oz (60ml) potato vodka

  • 4oz (120ml) cranberry juice

  • 1 bouillon cube

  1. Add vodka and cranberry juice to a shaker tin with ice

  2. Shake for 15 seconds

  3. Double strain into a martini glass

  4. Add in bullion cube and muddle to incorporate

  5. Drink... but quickly discard

Improved "Thanks-tini"

  • 1oz (30ml) of ruby port

  • .5oz (15ml) of maple syrup
