How To Make A Negroni

The Negroni is a classic spirit-forward cocktail that is relatively easy to make. In this video, I also teach you how to make the Boulevardier, the close cousin of the Negroni.

Equipment

1. Cocktail set (includes Boston shaker, bar spoon, hawthorne strainer, and muddler)
2. Coupe glass
3. Angled measuring jigger 
   • Version using ml measurements
4. Fancy mixing glass
   • Cheaper option
5. Citrus peeler

Cocktail Recipe

Negroni

• 1 oz (30ml) Dry gin
• 1 oz (30ml) Campari 
• 1 oz (30ml) Sweet vermouth
• Orange twist

1. Combine gin, Campari, and sweet vermouth into a mixing glass
2. Add ice and stir
3. Strain into a coupe glass or a rocks glass with ice
4. Garnish with a flaming orange peel

Boulevardier

• 1.5 oz (45ml) Rye whiskey
• 1 oz (30ml) Campari 
• 1 oz (30ml) Sweet vermouth
• Orange twist

1. Combine rye, Campari, and sweet vermouth into a mixing glass
2. Add ice and stir
3. Strain into a coupe glass or a rocks glass with ice
4. Garnish with a flaming orange peel
